The Way Ahead
The Way Ahead is a series of short video guides, available online or on DVD, to help you understand more about the cancers and treatments that have turned your world upside down.
When we first learned that our daughter Francesca had leukaemia, a resource like The Way Ahead would have been a real benefit to us. It would have been something we could have watched at home, in a way and at a time that suited us. We could have taken in more of what the doctors needed us to take on board. In the emotional turmoil of the moment, a lot of what had been said to us went straight over our heads.
Here you will finds lots of facts, definitions and sources of support, all at the click of a ‘wee timorous beastie’ or, as the English say, a mouse!
Susan and I really hope The Way Ahead guides will be a useful source of information and support, which will make a real difference for all those who are affected by a diagnosis of cancer for a child or young person.
